Uşak carpet, very resistant of short hair and rigid.
Uşak is a city located in the center of Turkey. During pre-industrial times, Uşak was already an important centre of production and export, especially of rugs. Uşak carpets also called Holbein carpets in reference to the painter of the century XVI Hans Holbein , who put them in detail in his paintings, reflecting his popularity in the European market. Although carpets designs have changed since then, it is still an important industry that makes the name of the city have relevance in the market of handmade carpets.
